About
Hello! I'm Ant, and I've always loved drawing and painting. Surprisingly, it took until I reached the age of 38 and revisited my old primary school books to stumble upon words of encouragement from a former English teacher about my creative writing skills.
This unexpected discovery sparked a thought – why not combine these talents?
As a parent, I experienced the magic of story time, those precious moments in the day when I could wholeheartedly dive into the realm of imagination with my kids.
The blend of drawing, writing skills, and my passion for story time naturally led me on a journey to become an author/illustrator. That's how Ant Power Books came to life – a dedication to nurturing the creative spirits of young readers everywhere.
As a child, I had a special love for stories that rhymed. That’s why most—if not all—of my books follow a rhythmic, rhyming style. Through this approach to writing, combined with my illustrations, I’ve worked to bring the characters and their worlds to life.
I sincerely hope you and your little people enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them!
